It’s hard to believe but in a couple of months G.R.O.W. will be a year old already! We have seen God work in tremendous ways during this short period of time, already helping us rescue six children who were at risk and now have a chance at life and a future with Christ. We are so humbled!
As you read Faa’s update, you will catch a glimpse of what a jewel this young lady is. She will mention going back to the village in pass ing, but what she will not tell you in great detail is that she made that trip on a small motorbike, about four hours oneway, just to make sure that the children had the necessary documents to go to school. She only had one day to do it and she had to deal with uncooperative school officials. Through her tenacity, however, she explained what she was planning to provide to these children and when the teachers and officials heard about it, they asked her, “Where are you from?” When she told them that she was from that same village, they were dumbfounded. She said she wanted to help the children achieve the same things she had achieved in life. Then they gave her the documents in two minutes. And you tell me if this young lady was not called by God to do this kind of work?
Now Faa has six children in the G.R.O.W. home (soon to be seven). When you read the update, she will talk about a need for transporta tion to and fro for these kids. Again, she will mention in passing, at the end, as a prayer request. But the G.R.O.W. Board recognizes that this is a critical need. We have approved a fundraising for this need. Our goal is to raise between $1015 thousand for this need. If you would like to donate, please indicate that it is for the truck. We need your help!
Thank you again for your faithful prayers and financial contributions to this ministry!
For the least of these, Pastor Ivanildo C. Trindade
G.R.O.W. President
The month of May was a most exciting one for the children, as they had a break from school and got to go back to their villages and spend a little time with some of their relatives. is month (May) the most of excited for all the kids school break time to visited parent in the village, then they went back to school, the first time for Fai Panida, ArTee Suchat, Pim and Tang.
Praise God and I was really happy for the GROW home able to have Fai Panida and ArTee Suchat with us. Their situation back in their village was not an easy one; actually it was very difficult and sad. On the first day for both Fai Panida and ArTee Suchat at the GROW home, Panida came with her uncle and Suchat came with his mom, and all the relatives spent a night with us. We all had a real good time together. Panida had a wounded arm and the stuff coming out of her swollen arm was so bad it smelled bad. Suchat had his feet and hand with many scars. He said before he came to the GROW home in Chiang Mai they used to treat his wounds with cup and candles (a traditional way of doing it for many people around the world who cannot afford health care) but the wounds were never cured and the blood kept flowing. His other hand had a knife cut on his wrist.

The first time I looked at both of their eyes and face they looked very hurt and my heart totally broke because I could relate fully to their hurt and pain. For the first week, every day, both Panida and Suchat had to be given medicine and clean the wounds. As I treated them, I couldn’t stop my tears. Even as I’m writing this update I still have tears coming down my cheeks. (I think I can’t continue for this update…it’s difficult for me). After one week the medicine and the prayers helped both of them to get better.
I have been back to the village once again by motorcycle to get the required documents to apply Panida and Suchat in school. PRAISE GOD that He made everything possible. On the first day I took the kids to school I was worried and excited for Panida, Suchat, Pim and Tang. Panida and Suchat were excited for new school with new friends, new uniforms, etc. Panida studies hard every day and of course all the kids study hard. Every day they tell the new stories of how much they really enjoy and are happy in school. I am so happy to hear these stories because I know the difference that having a chance to go to school makes in these children’s lives. It is a gift for the children who would never have a chance or hope to ever go to school if they remained where they were. Panida she very smart girl.
The kids also are enjoy knowing and growing by the love of Jesus. All the kids like to memo rize the Bible verses and they love to help each other, spend time together. I’m very proud of Bang as well for his taking the lead with all the kids in our GROW home and he is very happy to have Suchat , they both good brothers to each other. For me I really enjoy helping the poor and the children in need. My heart is to help people grow more in Christ and use their gift to the future for His kingdom.
Love in Christ, Faa
